That does sound very proper and good! Except the ent corpse part, and the creepy AI images.
I wish I still played BlackMUD, then I'd try and get this pen to se if it'd help me against the kobolds there! But alas, the RealWorldFullyImmersiveBetterThanLifeRealityNotASimulator has me stuck, taking up all my time. And since swords are shadowbanned here, at least the wanton usage of them against prospective monsters, a bog oak pen with guilloche (it's fun to say, isn't it!) might be the next best thing. Especially if, as you say, you've encountered no kobolds since you purchased it. Promising, promising indeed!
WOW, overwhelming? Yes, for me too. MMORPGs are a bit too... much, I suppose. And requires the use of my eyesight in a more intense way than a MUD does. And less of my typing skills. And less of my imagination. And I like using my imagination when it stems from reading. And I prefer writing with fountain pens, to typing...
Nah, it's not being out of touch. It's being "excitingly quirky" and "delightfully original", or "have refreshingly niche interests" and also "having tried many things already" of course.
Excellent. What do you recommend against Dark Elves though?
Ultem. It’s made from salvaged mithril that saps their strength.
Excellent, assembling my gang and off we go
this pen looks like there should be a spot where Materia should go to further give power to your ancient bog oak

Thank you for knowing what a MUD is, it makes me feel less out of touch. I tried WOW once and was overwhelmed with all the pictures.
