Instructions unclear, went on Endless Pens and spent $125 for a pen that’s discounted heavily which means it’s free even though I never actually wanted it
for real though I think Endless is far and away the master of pricing psychology in this space. "wait there are THREE DISCOUNTS? Maybe I DO want this."
I snagged a Sailor PGS Wisteria a few months ago for $140, and I don’t care that I never thought of getting one before I saw the price it’s so totally worth it
They got me that way during their month-long 4th of July sale this year. They discounted the Pro Gear Fika Christmas Spice Tea special edition from last year that they managed to find more stock of (which just so happened to be a colourway I'm weak to), added another discount on top of that, then added yet another discount for it in the newsletter. I ended up getting a £330 pen for £105―including shipping to the UK. I tried to resist, but how could you say no to that?
I concur on the mystery regarding the prominence that late 80’s bastardized Australian culture played in my childhood, vs barely registering a blip (outside of depressing, solo dinners at Outback on work trips in otherwise underwhelming American cities) in the hauntingly, depraved radar of an adulthood where even overpriced fountain pens can’t fill the void in my soul.
"Brilliant as always," I say loudly to cover up my internal crisis over the realization that knowing who Goofus and Gallant are is now mostly an old person thing

ugh I know, what do children even read these days for moral instruction and/or word jumbles while waiting for the dentist?
