I'm in a similar boat, in that I just started the Artist's Way a few weeks after turning 40, but in a very dissimilar boat in that I'm trying to crank out comedy sketches instead of a novel. Artist's Way is ... ehhhh. I'm getting words onto paper and, ultimately, that's what I want. Your writing is excellent and very funny. Excited to see that chapter when you're ready!
That was “Writing Down The Bones” for me. On the one hand I really liked it, on the other hand it seemed to be for WRITERS!!! as opposed to writers of shark jokes. And thanks!!
